“I haven’t posted on social media in over two years andI knew I needed a fresh start.
Since joining, I’ve enjoyed connecting with other online business owners who, like me, work for themselves and by themselves. What excites me most is the chance to learn new strategies for visibility and build genuine connections (and friendships!) that make business feel a little less lonely.
. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!”
"I was struggling to network without anxiety, build camaraderie without expectations, and explore myself and my future without judgment.
The topics range from soul-expanding to business-critical, and that balance makes it so valuable as an alternative to social media. I see more alternative paths to my version of success now that I am surrounded by people who are creatively pursuing their passions and their businesses, often together.
It is definitely the best value for the price I’ve ever gotten from a community."
“I’m tired of social media feeling like I’m talking to a wall. I wanted community and real connection.
And I love the events! I love that I can check the events section and it’s always a surprise of different topics. It’s refreshing how informal the events are. I don’t feel like I’m being talked down to by some guru. I get to see the real leader showing their expertise and access to ask questions.
I’m excited for the future of hosting events as a way to meet new people and invite them into my financial world.”
"First of all, the onboarding was so well thought out. Everything in here has been curated with user experience in mind. The vibe is fun and casual but also creative and professional. The people in here are cool, and it feels warm and welcoming.
I like the ease of setting up an event and having a built-in attendance possibility before I even invite my list. I also love how we can invite outsiders. It seems like a great place to test out new things I create.
There’s a wide variety of professionals here, and the events are kind of like a candy store. It was the type of community I was looking for!"
"I like that it doesn't run on an influencer or mentor model where we're all in the community to learn from one person and our relationships with each other are just a side benefit. Instead the whole point is the relationships with each other and Deanna's presence is the cool perk / ‘side benefit.’
Relationship building & visibility are so important for growing my business. I love that the Playhouse offers opportunities for genuine connection and championing each other's work in a fun, non-hierarchical, and non-sleazy way. We need more spaces like this in online business!"
"Meeting peers who want to collaborate and discuss more advanced topics in business has been such a highlight. The people in The Playhouse are so keen to work together, support each other, and truly show up. It’s a super creative and committed group, and I can’t wait to connect with even more Playhousers and get to know them.
What makes The Playhouse different is the context and framing. It’s meant to be a collective where everyone contributes and supports each other—not just another online forum for promoting businesses. I’m really excited about that vision and look forward to developing it alongside everyone inside The Playhouse."
“Even though I'm introverted, I still enjoy community and connection. I love that everything is live; no recordings.
It takes the pressure down and means people are genuinely engaged, not just half-paying attention while checking emails or scrolling.
It feels like real conversations you'd have in the breakroom at the office.
The opportunity to practice without pressure is amazing.
Got an idea but not sure if it’ll work? Host a room and experiment—no judgment. Plus, I can ask questions and get real, lived experience from others, not just the polished fluff on sales pages!"
“I’ve already gained new clients through organic connections and meaningful interactions with other members. It is truly easeful to just show up, meet cool people, and walk away with gobs of gifts from each engagement.
Everything I’ve attended here has been joyful, useful, and immediately actionable. I implemented the tips I got in Suzanne Culberg’s event and got invited to be on a podcast I’m really excited about.
I’m expanding my network with powerful, magical creators who are not afraid to color outside the lines of traditional business strategies. The chill vibe values playfulness while calling in some badass business women who really know their stuff.”
"Everyone has a voice! It doesn’t feel like you’re just a number in a membership; it feels like you are a voice in a community. The warm, welcoming vibes of every event are like a breath of fresh air. Every time I walk away from an event, I am feeling inspired and ready to dive into making my business that much better.
In only 2 months, I have made so many connections for my business! I’m so excited to not only grow my own audience but to learn more about what other business owners are doing and see so many creative business owners doing amazing things.
As soon as I saw the vision for The Playhouse, I knew I had to be in on this magic."

"I love the openness and positive vibe. And the flexibility to host or attend events with a collaborative intent feels great. There’s been so many informative and fun conversations already, even in my early days.
I love the opportunity to broaden my circle of connection and networking in a fun, organic way. Having access to intelligent and focused business owners makes this the perfect place to float new ideas.
The energy and communication are so much better than other similar communities I found. The encouragement to think outside of the box and dare to be different, without judgment, feels great.”
"I've had an idea for an event that I've wanted to run for my audience for a while, and I was able to host it in the Playhouse without having to do a launch. I had some great takeaways from the experience.
I love the wide range of entrepreneurs in the Playhouse. It's a great place to get new perspectives or suggestions for resources that aren't as well known in my niche and pretty much anything Deanna Seymour is doing is something that I want to be a part of!
The whole platform has a chill, let's try fun things and support each other's vibe, which I love!"

I am just so excited to let a bunch of folks know what I do and how it can transform course materials. The more people who understand what's possible, the more they can use it or talk about the technology with other folks.
I am really loving a chance to connect with people who have a huge variety of services! Groups I've joined in the past have been largely geared towards the same kind of service provider, but I love that I can chat with a body liberation coach, a feminist podcast studio, and an SEO expert all in one place!
I am so stoked to know (and be able to refer) such a wide variety of service providers. I've already brought up Playhouse members in a few different networking groups when someone has talked about what they need!
"Finding communities where I felt I and my business would fit in has been a challenge, but I’m loving the community in Heartbeat so far. The engagement is fantastic, and the list of upcoming trainings looks amazing!
I’m excited about contributing value in a meaningful way and receiving nonjudgmental feedback from a variety of people with different services and products. I look forward to meeting others in my niche, as well as those who may not be but are still interested in what I have to offer.
I love that Deanna values accessibility—it’s one of my business values as well. She is genuine, funny, kind, and super relatable!"
"It’s so VIBRANT! Literally and energetically. The diversity and active participation here make it the perfect place to grow relationships!
Being a solo business owner can get so lonely! I truly missed the social aspects of working for a larger company, and The Playhouse brings that element back to my life and work. I don’t feel like I’m going it alone anymore.
I love the array of experts in The Playhouse! At any given time, I can pop into a session on SEO, a networking meetup, or a podcast pitching workshop. It’s really an awesome hub for business owners like me. I’ve already connected with so many cool folks and love building relationships and referral partnerships like this.”
“I've been around online business for a number of years but wasn't finding a community I wanted to "settle" into. I know relationships are KEY in building our businesses and I knew it was time for me to invest in it but wasn't finding it until The Playhouse.
I love the variety of events and people Deanna draws. I can learn from a very diverse set of people that also identify as revolutionaries, free-thinkers who value human first, business second.
It gives me a place to share my expertise AND learn from others - so I can both give and receive and I LOVE that so damn much.”
"In The Playhouse, I've experienced meeting and being seen by kind colleagues who I'd never have met otherwise.
They welcomed me and helped me zero in on how to share myself and my gifts with this new community. The space feels intentional, warm, and genuinely collaborative, fostering connections that feel both professional and deeply personal.
The creator of The Playhouse herself, Deanna Seymour, is a visionary with so much heart who beams welcome to each and every one of the Playhouse members. Her dedication to creating a community where everyone can thrive and feel supported is truly inspiring."
"The Playhouse has exceeded my expectations. It already feels like a close-knit community.
I’m amazed by the wide-ranging knowledge and expertise of the members. Every session I participate in teaches me something new. In January, I’m excited to launch my own Playhouse events and share my experiences as a Business Strategist.
I joined because of the equality Deanna baked into its structure and the opportunity to connect and build relationships with other founders. The Playhouse truly creates space for collaboration and mutual growth."
"An hour in the Playhouse is worth six months of working with an expert. Watching the community evolve with purpose over pretense is such a privilege. Finding a place to test and refine what you’re working on is rare, and I’m blown away by what I’ve accomplished since joining.
I love that the Playhouse sidesteps the low-quality interactions typical on other platforms. Instead of wasting time hunting for ideas or meaningful connections, I can engage with this community. It’s a safe, low-risk space to gain feedback, make mistakes, and grow."
"In my field it’s not always easy to find a space where I can connect with other solopreneurs while still getting to share my knowledge in helping moms balance life and work.
In here, we’re not just focusing on traditional business strategies, but also sharing tools and insights that help us all navigate the stress of entrepreneurship and daily life.
The Playhouse treats solopreneurs as whole people, allowing me to integrate my personal and professional experiences in a way that feels authentic and valuable."
"The Playhouse attracts a cool, genuine, whip-smart community of entrepreneurs.
They're not only my dream clients, but the people I’d most love to learn from.
I’ve been able to build connections with others who can commiserate, offer support, celebrate triumphs, understand memes, and provide valuable feedback and advice.
Having the unique opportunity to collaborate with such a talented group of business owners is invaluable."
"Fitting into a community of business owners and not being looked down upon for being a simple farmer has been such a relief. I like how there are plenty of events to choose from that fit my schedule, and I get to know community members I might not have had the chance to interact with otherwise.
What I love most is how it’s totally judgment-free, and I can just be me without trying to be someone else.”
"A lot of the other communities I’ve been in still have an air of focusing on yourself first. But here, I feel like we are all in this together—supporting each other and growing together.
I always love connecting with new people, new ideas, and seeing where we can support each other through collaboration. I just know that there is going to be magic coming out of these Playhouse connections!"
"I think I was struggling the most with feeling alone. Yes, I’m on my own in my business, but I kept trying to join communities to build connections, and it just wasn’t happening.
It sounds simple, but I’m most enjoying the people. Deanna brings really amazing people together, and I love the connections I’ve been making. I don’t know that I can describe how amazing it is to find a group of people who support you, cheer you on, and want you to succeed."
Nope! This community is for everyone. Admittedly at the moment it's mostly women identifying but we want to build a diverse community with lots of perspectives! All humans are welcome.
You can host as many as 2 events per month. We want to make sure that we’re creating a space that is collaborative and diverse. Signing up sooner than later gives you the opportunity to help shape the schedule and get your first choice of days and times.
Keep in mind, The Playhouse is a 24/7 community so you can host events any time day or night or on the weekends! It's about doing business our own way and re-writing the rules!
Yes. AND… the ratio of conversation/value to selling should be at LEAST 90/10. You’ll have a QR code on your event background so it will be very easy to refer to that or drop a link in the chat. I can see someone hosting a Q&A about bookkeeping and then saying something like, “I have a free intro course on Quickbooks if you want to grab it.” or “I have a membership where you can ask me questions in our Facebook group whenever they pop up throughout the month.”
Those are natural suggestions and add value to someone struggling with their bookkeeping. The mission of The Playhouse is to build relationships and grow your audience + email list, so you should absolutely be mentioning your offers, both free and paid. However, this is not a space to do a webinar style pitch that’s mostly you talking about your offer. You can absolutely invite them to sign up for your list and register for a webinar you’re hosting in your world.
But the events in The Playhouse are spaces for conversations, coworking, or collaboration. In order to maintain this, attendees will receive an opportunity to give feedback after your event. I’ll be monitoring that feedback to make sure all events are in line with the mission of the community.
The online community aspect will be hosted in a platform called Heartbeat. It’s much like Circle or Mighty Networks, essentially a Facebook Group off of Facebook. All the events will be created in Heartbeat and link directly to your event. Engaging in the Heartbeat community will increase your visibility and most likely improve the attendance at your events.
The events themselves will be hosted in a platform called Go Brunch.
It’s important to me as the founder that this space has a truly collective spirit about it. So everyone is encouraged to become affiliates for The Playhouse. Affiliates earn 40% recurring commissions on anyone you bring into The Playhouse. You'll get paid monthly on the 15th of each month.
A large, diverse group of members and mentors is what will make The Playhouse a success and I can't do it all by myself. The goal of this profit sharing model is to make The Playhouse feel like it belongs to all of us and we are all invested in growing our audiences together. We can do it! 💪
Here’s where it becomes a personal decision for you and your business. I priced The Playhouse to leave room in folks budgets to spend money with other people in the community.
Here’s a scenario I could see working well: You’re a social media expert with a membership that helps people grow on Instagram. Inside The Playhouse you host an event where you give quick feedback on people’s Instagram Bios. Then you let them know that you have a membership that includes all the awesomeness you host in there - maybe templates, training, regular Q&As with you, a slack channel to ask questions as they pop up.
If they loved meeting you in The Playhouse and you gave great feedback on their profile they’re thinking… “I definitely want to work with them more!” It’s like being on a podcast to get exposure for your membership except instead of chatting with a host - you’re getting to chat directly with your ideal customers which is kind of amazing if you think about it.
Let’s say you host paid networking events - why would you want to host an event in The Playhouse? I could see you hosting an event where you give people a template on how to write their intro and they work on it with you. Then you invite them to your next event to try it out!
We just have to start thinking outside of the box on how getting in front of your people and actually hanging out with them can be a really powerful way to fast track relationship building!
The Playhouse isn't about making content, it's about having conversations.
That being said, none of the rooms will be recorded. You can bring any interesting topics or breakthroughs to the Heartbeat Community if you'd like to share it with the entire community.
And I can totally see conversations in The Playhouse being the inspiration for content you put out into the world.
Share the insights, the takeaways, the lightbulb moments with your audiences as well! Just not as a recording. 😬
The magic of The Playhouse is in the live conversations that happen in the different events. The idea is to be a participant, not a consumer of more information coming at you, so there will be no replays.
The ideas is that people will feel more at ease and natural in the conversations which will lead to more genuine connections.
We're hoping to have a ton of events from a diverse group of members, so making it to a few events a month should be totally doable!
Send an email to team[at]deannaseymour[dot]com and ask away! We're here for ya!
